Why this Hike
This hike up East Mount Barren may be short but offers you great views as you take in the summit. The mountain looks over not only Culham Inlet, Hamersley Inlet and Eyre Range but also Mid Mount Barren and thumb peak.
Track Notes & Overview
Starting from East Mount Barren Trailhead carpark this walk begins by crossing a wooden board walk and then climbing up along the East Mount Barren Trail. The trail is marked but can be quite dangerous as you reach the summit with the final few metres being very slippery. Once the path meets what looks like a rock wall you can be assured you are near the summit and you will need to continue, scrambling as necessary to reach it. Once you have reached the summit you will be met with absolutely stunning views in every direction and once you are done you can descend back down the trail to the carpark and complete the walk.
