Why this Hike
This short day walk near Mackay takes you through the unique local wetlands and under beautiful native bushland towards Sunny Lagoon. This small hike can be a great way to start you day but snakes are a common sight and lots of mosquitoes are present so make sure to bring some insect repellent.
Track Notes & Overview
Starting at the carpark which adjoins Keeleys Road this trail is a well-marked grade one walk which follows a boardwalk for a majority of it's length. After a few hundred metres you should reach Sunny Lagoon before turning back along the same track to complete the hike.
