Why this Hike
This walk shows you the fantastic natural basalt formations called the Organ Pipes which were formed after volcanic eruptions. The area surrounding this natural wonder can be a beautiful place to visit at all times of year and even better when the sun is out. Not only is the views of the Organ Pipes great but the trail is a short but fun adventure too that is surely not worth missing.
Track Notes & Overview
Starting at the end of Organ Pipes Road (near the toilets) where you will find Organ Pipes track, turn left down this track and follow the loop until reaching a turn of where you will turn left to see one of the lookouts. Turn back on this track and take the other direction at the junction to re-join the loop and continue to follow until reaching the Organ Pipes themselves. After admiring the strange and yet beautiful natural formations, continue walking the loop until you reach Organ Pipes Road again. Walk to the same place you started the walk and take a right to complete a miniature loop that will complete the hike.
