Why this Hike
This hike in Kosciuszko National Park is a fantatic adventure which shows off beautiful views of the local area and wildlife. With the hut and views serving as the focal point of this hike, the walk up can offer a chance for hikers to witness local wildlife such as Grey Kangaroos, Red-Necked Wallabies and Lizards along with other species that call this area their home.
Track Notes & Overview
Starting at Dargals Trail Carpark (at the start of the Dargals Trail after turning off Tooma Road) you will follow Dargals Trail to Patons Hut on this well marked trail. After leaving the carpark take a left up towards the hut, the trail should be pretty easy to follow and just requires you to keep walking. Once you have reached the hut you should be easily able to complete the hike by returning back on the same track that took you to the top (the hut).
*Please note that this walk can have extreme weather conditions and for that reason it is advised you walk this trail in the warmer months.
