The main features of A Hiker's Friend will always remain free but without financial support in some description it will be impossible for the website to continue.

This entire site is created by one person and that takes a lot of time, energy and ultimately, money. Without your membership it becomes harder and harder to keep this great resource running for free and for all so that is why we are asking for your support.

ALSO INCLUDED IS:

  • Can I cancel my plan at any time?
    Yes you absolutely can. Once you cancel you will have access until your previous purchase period ends and then you will not be able to access the member hub.
  • Is my re-subscription automatic?
    When you subscribe your re-subscription is automatic but if you wish to discontinue your membership you can do this at any time via the subscription page on your profile.
  • Can I update my payment details after I join AHF+?
    Yes, once you sign up to a AHF+ you can change your payment details at any time. Simply visit your profile and find your subscription page. From there you can update your details to another account. *Please note that this will only work on desktop and you cannot update your details to a PayPal account.
  • Who can I contact if I need support?
    We are always open to contact for any issues you may be experiencing on our contact page or via email at ahikersfriend@gmail.com.
  • What perks do I get from AHF+?
    When joining AHF+ you get access to the private member hub via the site menu which has great features such as the member downloads section which has posters, diagrams and custom packing list along with access to online hiking guide books such as our 29-page beginners guide to bushwalking and hiking. In addition to these areas you also get the all new photo gallery and the hiker quiz where you can test your hiking knowledge. We are always working on more content for our members so you can be assured that this is only the beginning.
  • Where can I access my AHF+ account?
    Your AHF+ account can easily be accessed from the navigation bar with the ‘Member Hub’ button. If you can’t find this button then make sure you are logged in and have reloaded the page. The member hub can also be accessed directly here.
